The Sangiovese Wine and Dine Route through the Hills of Faenza runs for about 150 km, through the Marzeno, Lamone and SenioValleys up to the border between Romagna andTuscany. It involves Municipalities of Faenza, Brisighella, Casola Valsenio, Riolo Terme and Castel Bolognese.

This route links places featuring relevant historical and artistic resources, such as the Renaissance and neoclassical town of Faenza with its ceramic art, the  fifteenth-century Torre di Oriolo dei Fichi, the charming medieval village of Brisighella, located on foot of trhee chalky hills, Riolo Terme which developed around an ancient fortress (rocca) and Casola Valsenio with historical buildings, old sighting towers and Romanesque parish churches. This route also offers interesting landscape and natural resources. Through the gullies (calanchi) characterising the foothills, vineyards, olive trees, pines, cypresses and brooms, it leads to "Romagna's Chalk Vein", an attractive destination for nature and speleology lovers due to the abundance of natural caves.

However, the main element of union of this territory are the flavours of its cuisine based on typical produce.
First of all, the DOC Wines of Romagna (Albana, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Cagnina and Pagadebit) and the DOC Colli di Faenza can be tasted and purchased in local wineries. The flavours range from the DOP such as  the renowned Brisighella's DOP Extra virgin Olive Oil (Brisighello, Pieve Tho and Nobil Drupa), the the Shallot of Romagna is an aromatic bulb widely used in local specialities and the Officinal Herbs of Casola Valsenio used to flavour the traditional cuisine of the whole area.
