The Centre is in the former Convent of the Capuchin Sisters.
The public library has more than 47,000 books, including 30,000 in the historical archive, with more than 1,000 from the sixteenth century.

The Modern Art section contains a significant number of works acquired mostly as a result of donations from individual artists.
The Science and Natural History Section, launched in 1985, is a small museum of natural sciences, divided into sectors, with display cases accommodating various material of Romagna origin.

Linked to the Natural History Section is thePodere Pantaleone, a genuine outdoor educational museum, classified as an “Ecological Rebalancing Area”, an old farm with about fifteen acres of wooded land on the outskirts of the city.
