The oratory dates from the first half of the 15th century and takes its title from the place names associated with the road layout and hydro-geological composition of the site on which it was erected.

The interior is completely decorated with an extensive series of devotional frescoes that mark this church out as unique from a Romagna standpoint.
The frescoes can be dated to between the first half of the 15th century and the early decades of the sixteenth, with nineteenth-century additions by the Lugo painter G. Bertazzoni; the devotional series is dedicated to the saints most cherished in popular religion and contains stylistic motifs from various sources (elements of late Gothic culture and workmanship are recognisable as coming from several areas of the Po Valley).
